# Getting Started with Optery for Business for Covered Members

Your company has selected Optery to help protect your safety online.  Optery is data privacy and security software that prevents attacks from malicious actors by removing people’s personal information from the internet. # Activate Your Account In Less Than 1 Minute

1. Watch your inbox for an email titled "Your invitation to Optery"

* The email will be sent after your administrator adds you via their administrator dashboard.

2. Complete Step 1 of the sign up process

* Step 1 requires you to confirm your name and password and agree to the terms of service.

3. Complete Step 2 of the sign up process

* Step 2 requires a little more information to set up your account.  Providing this information helps us find your profile among the millions of others out there, and distinguish you from others who may share a similar name. Without this information, it's not feasible to locate your profiles and submit your removals. 4. After you click "See Results":

* You will gain access to your personalized Optery dashboard
* Your initial Exposure Report scan will start running
* You will receive an email with [tips for getting started](/en/article/i-just-signed-up-for-optery-now-what-1ihv0wd/)
* Your privacy protection opt out processing will start within 1 - 3 business days (usually the same day)
