Signing the Limited Power of Attorney to make Optery your Authorized Agent for data broker removals


By signing Optery's Limited Power of Attorney, you appoint Optery as your Authorized Agent for submitting your data rights requests. This is optional, but highly recommended to maximize effectiveness of Optery's removals. You can revoke the Limited Power of Attorney at any time.

Here are the steps required to appoint Optery as your Authorized Agent for data broker removals.



Optery Limited Power of Attorney and Authorized Agent workflow


  • Read, agree to, and then electronically sign the Limited Power Of Attorney. Confirm and/or update your Location of Residence. The Location of Residence is important to confirm to ensure applicability of any privacy laws you may have rights to (e.g. the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)).


Accept and Sign the Limited Power of Attorney Authorization


  • Click "Accept and Sign".


Signing this allows Optery to submit more complete requests on your behalf, which can improve both the coverage and success rate of removals.
