This article provides instructions on how to enable mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all members of an organization within Optery for Business.
- Accessing Organization Preferences: To enable mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your organization, log in to the Optery Dashboard. From the left-hand navigation menu, select "Organization," then "Preferences."
- Locating Security Preferences: On the "Organization Preferences" page, scroll to the "Security Preferences" section. Locate the checkbox labeled "Mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication for Organization".
- Initiating MFA Enforcement: Check the "Mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication for Organization" box. A confirmation modal will appear. Two different confirmation modals may appear, depending on whether your administrator account has MFA enabled.
If Administrator MFA is Not Enabled: If your administrator account does not have MFA enabled, a modal titled "Enforce MFA for your Organization" will appear [Image 3]. This modal warns that your current session will be logged out if you do not have MFA set up and you may need to re-login. It also provides an option to "Setup MFA now".
If Administrator MFA is Enabled: If your administrator account already has MFA enabled, a modal titled "Enforce MFA for your Organization" will appear. This modal states: "This option would make MFA compulsory for the entire Organization".
- Enforce MFA for your Organization: To enforce MFA for the organization, click "Confirm". To cancel, click "Cancel".
